Annex 12: Visa Facilitation
New Zealand Commitments
New Zealand shall:
- Ensure that Chinese students who submit a complete application for a student visa to study towards a degree level course at an accredited New Zealand tertiary institution receive a decision within 10 working days, provided that:
- the institution referred to in paragraph (a) has been enrolling Chinese students for at least two years; and
- no information is found that suggests the student might not meet health or character requirements.
- Create and maintain a group transit visa for which Chinese natural persons transiting New Zealand to and from all destinations will be eligible.
